Jeitaro.com is a rebrand of vulgarknight.com - a video game review and news site I setup in 2019 after writing for many outlets, magazines and press releases. Only a portion of that was gaming, but I have 20+ years (yes, that old) professional writing experience. Believe it or not.

After fannying around with plugins and hosting companies, I wanted to streamline writing and simply post without any hassle, so have switched platforms. That hasn’t gone to plan, as once again, I’m fiddling with customisations and back to square one in building a name and subsequent traffic.

It seemed like a good opportunity to try a new domain name. Here, I've opted for my namesake once more. Vulgar Knight was a Wu-Tang generator of my name, but without being able to explain this, some thought it might be dodgy content, or that I was a bit crass. On the contrary, I’m very nice. Jeitaro is simply a play on my name once more - Justin.

For professionals checking out the site, the design and stripped essentials are intentional. I’m the same person, never missed a deadline or taken advantage of an embargo, and always appreciative of getting coverage, never taking it for granted.

For readers, I’d be indebted if you stick around and consider subscribing to the FREE newsletters. These are basically notifications whenever an article is posted. It’s just me, so not excessive though if you don’t want the emails, don’t sign up. It’s sad if people unsubscribe.

If there’s something missing in my approach to articles, please tell me. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to make videos, nor do I wish to give scores. I don’t think they work. There are no sponsors, nobody pays for coverage, but review codes are received for many titles. While I look for the positives, these write ups are truthful and my opinions. I am a gamer too, and have no agenda other than having a platform to write and, hopefully, entertain or inform.

Other than spellchecking, all content is solely by me and no AI is used. The latter is a sore point and has made the profession even more untenable. Look at all the casualties in 2024.

I appreciate you reading this. Thank you, and I hope you become a regular.
