Ageless To Be Released In A Timely Manner

Ageless To Be Released In A Timely Manner

Coming soon to Steam and possibly the Nintendo Switch is puzzle/platform title Ageless.

It’s been a good year for Team17Moving OutGolf With Your Friends and now Ageless, ensuring that a new genre is covered each time.

If you’re stalking me a bit now, you’ll know I’m a fan of Team17 – especially since the days of the Amiga, but let’s not go that route again.

In the game, you wield an ancient power in this puzzle/platform game developed by One More Dream Studios.

The biggest selling point here is perhaps the ability to manipulate time, freezing everything within a frame to solve a puzzle.

It’s a pixel art game, and while I’m not the biggest fan of this aesthetic, the game does have a certain charm to it.

Still, I’ve looked past that with my magic eyes (two of them) and anticipate this to be one of those ‘just five more minutes’ games.

Here are just a couple of features in the game:

  • Multi-stage ageing for plants and animals: Age flora and fauna through various stages of their life cycle to solve the puzzles standing in your way.
  • Timeless platforming: Ageless uses the environment to produce intricate platforming challenges. While ‘ageless’ players can use living creatures to dash through the air, consuming the life force and de-ageing the plant or animal in the process.
  • Unique worlds: Each area has its own plants and animals to utilise, realised in a hand-drawn pixel art.
  • Mysterious collectables. Becoming ‘ageless’ allows players to see and collect optional hidden items that will only be accessible via intricate platforming challenges hidden throughout the levels.

Now you’ve digested the above, why not have a looksie at the Ageless trailer below:

When there’s more info on the game, I’ll be sure to let you know.
