An Alone In The Dark Reboot? Those Faces Are Familiar...

What the eff? Alone in the Dark is getting a… reboot or reimagining, and one of the characters looks remarkably like some actor from a little-known show called Stranger Things and another from Killing Eve. Even without the cast, you have to see the gameplay trailer.

A classic survival horror from back in the 90s, the Alone in the Dark series has undergone several different looks, but it never looked or sounded as good as this. Set in the 1920s, you play as either Edward Carnby (David Harbour), or Emily Hartwood (Jodie Comer) where you uncover the ‘unsettling truth of Derceto Manor’.

With a story by Mikael Hedberg (SOMA), monster design by Guillermo del Toro collaborator Guy Davis, and ‘Doom Jazz’ melodies by Jason Köhnen, this revamp by Pieces Interactive and THQ Nordic is going to be amazing.

Alone in the Dark is coming to Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on the 16th of January 2024. I would love to say I’ll cover this for its release, but I’m not holding my breath!
