Do you have a title or two in your collection that you perhaps own on multiple systems but not actually played it? Well, Amnesia is one such title, and this Amnesia Rebirth Adventure Mode gives a gentle nudge to revisit.

The latest in the Amnesia series is an experience ‘safe from monsters, darkness and jump scares’, with a dedicated option for those also in attendance of the Scared By Horror Games Guild. I’m a member too.

Frictional Games’ Amnesia Rebirth Adventure Mode strips out all the anxiety-induced scares and instead focuses on the narrative and puzzles – a great option if said scares put you off the first time or if you just want to experience the game with a different perspective.

The game still has its very serious theme and sometimes unnerving ambiance, but the new mode feels a lot more like an Indiana Jones type of adventure in places where it would otherwise be more of a horror experience.

Amnesia Rebirth Adventure Mode is available on Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store, currently with a 40% discount. A PlayStation version will be out in the next few weeks.
