Hanging out with a bunch of pups was a bit too much for me, but I was prepared to give AstroDogs a look, at least for my little girl who’s currently mad on Paw Patrol. What I didn’t expect was a Starwing-like game.

Sure, it does say it in the promo material, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s accurate, but a guideline. Nope, on inspection, it’s pretty close.
Picking from a selection of space dogs, this game from Dynamic Media Triad and Digital Tribe Games features ten handcrafted levels with innovative gameplay and boasting multiple playthroughs.
Astrodogs has a good selection of flying machines with remote-controlled bombs, homing missiles, hyperbeam and parry shield. It also has slow-mo mechanics.

Astrodogs is out today on Steam and GOG, and will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in the summer – a perfect place for it to be.
