Biomutant Is A Post-Apocalyptic Kung-Fu Fable RPG Coming In May 2021

It’s not until a further into 2021, but THQ Nordic have announced their open-world ‘post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG’, Biomutant. Based on that mouthful, it couldn’t be more exciting.

In this game that’s heading to PC and consoles, players will be able to mix up their martial arts with melee, shooting and mutant abilities. Best of all, there will be two collector’s editions up for grabs. 

Before that, here are some of the features:

• Maximum freedom of movement and agility – mix up the shooting, melee and mutant powers with Wung-Fu forms, with the ability to add moves.
• Re-code your genetic structure – change your appearance and attributes. Bio-contamination leads to mutations, powers such as telekinesis and levitation.
• Crafting – create 1H and 2H slash and crush weapons, firearms such as revolvers, rifles and shotguns, as well as characters that’ll craft you bionic wings, a jump-pack and scrap-toy sidekick.
• Gearing up – wear any type of accessories such as a gas-mask or oxygen tank, even thermos-resistant clothing that you pick up along the way.
• Freedom to explore – travel by foot, mech, jet-ski, air-balloon or area unique mounts. There’s plenty to see from tunnels and bunker networks through to the archipelago in this vibrant world.
• The End is coming to the New World – with the Tree-of-Life in disarray, the Tribes need someone to unite them or bring them down. It’s your ‘actions and choices that’ll decide how your story of survival ends’.
