Birth combines my love of point and click mechanics, hand-drawn art, and beautifully grotesque concepts, Madison Karrh appears to have made a game for me. Err… us.

The solo developer, also behind Landlord of the Woods (on my to-do list!), has created a game about living alone in a large city. However, instead of dwelling on it, this indie has you build a companion out of spare bones and organs.

Sure, you were saving those spares for a rainy day, but Birth puts them to good effect with physics-based puzzled, beautiful illustrations, and a Rusty Lake Hotel vibe. Hopefully, it won’t be as difficult!

Key features include:

  • Collect bones & organs in hand-drawn museums, coffee shops, alleys, flower shops, libraries, markets, bakeries and more
  • Solve physics-based puzzles & interact with unique, interesting creatures
  • Find & spend hidden tokens to discover secrets

And a trailer?

Birth, by Madison Karrh, is available now on Steam, and I suggest you check it out.
