Blade Chimera To Take A Slash On Steam And Switch This Summer

Cyberpunk
games have died down recently, but that’s not going to stop PLAYISM and WSS Playground from announcing Blade Chimera—a Metroidvania from Team Ladybug—coming to Steam and the Nintendo Switch.

You play as Shin, an amnesiac demon hunter who has forgotten his memories, skillset, and wife. How appropriate. The latter is selective. Sometimes, a bump to the head may reset the thought process, but Shin gets to carry around the Lumina Sword, formerly known as the demon Lux, to aid in his quest.

The Lumina Sword is part of the journey as the ‘chimera’ in Blade Chimera is the ever-evolving Lux (and your skill tree), as you kill more enemies and strengthen your demon associate. But who is Lux, and what is Shin’s connection…?

Fun fact: the dev team are behind Touhou Luna Nights, which sold 50,000 copies. That is all.

Blade Chimera is due for release in August 2024, but a playable demo will be available during the Steam Next Fest from June 10th to June 17th.
