Bloodroots Unleashed At The End Of February

Bloodroots Unleashed At The End Of February

There’s a stranger coming to town, and Mr Wolf ain’t here to rustle sheep; in Bloodroots, he’s seeking revenge and what better way to do that with the right tool for the job: carrots.

Never have carrots been so effective as a weapon since Shoot ‘Em Up, starring a young Clive Owen, but it’s not all about vitamin A or K. Bloodroots is set in the west and Mr Wolf makes use of whatever weapons come to hand – think a bloodthirsty Jason Bourne wearing a wolf skin, and that’s your motivation.

On first glance, the graphics are wildly colourful and looks a little like Serial Cleaner, only on speed and much more claret. From the trailer alone, this looks like a messy game and super violent, but that’s years of reservation of this type of stuff on the Nintendo. Bloodroots releases on the Switch, PS4 and Epic Games Store at the end of the month.

First impressions without playing it? It looks excellent. Is it a rogue-like? In the trailer, there were death scenes that cut to a respawn – only time will tell, but in the meantime, here’s a list of features, as provided by the creators, Paper Cult:

  • A world overflowing with makeshift weapons that not only change the way you fight, but how you get around
  • Improvise the most deadly combos and compete for fame on worldwide leaderboards
  • Fight your way through a variety of handcrafted levels, from forests to mountaintops
  • Experience a twisted Western revenge tale with a deranged cast of characters

Sounds good? Why not check out the trailer below until the release date, 28th of February. Bloody marvellous!
