One of the greatest point and click adventures, Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged, is set for release next month on PC and consoles, courtesy of the original developers, Revolution Software.

Similar to Beyond A Steel Sky, the much-loved series gets an overhaul, though unlike the former, we rejoin George and Nico on their adventure around the world with repainted backgrounds, sprites reanimated (including the infamous goat) and new levels of fidelity to speech and the legendary soundtrack.

Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged Review
One of the greatest adventure games has been given the 4K treatment - Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged.

However, Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged does introduce a new story mode to 'dynamically balance narrative and gameplay progression' for a new line of fans.

Point and click offers a simple interface from which captivating, challenging gameplay emerges...But the user experience has remained unchanged since the '90s when Broken Sword redefined the genre. Our research suggested that gamers now prefer a more contemporary experience. Broken Sword has a hugely passionate fan base, which runs over three generations. With these graphic and user experience enhancements,  we look forward to hearing from fans once the game crosses over, once again, to a fourth generation who love narrative-driven games.
