A title I’ve been meaning to mention has just been released from Early Access (on good behaviour) and is available to play on PC via Steam, courtesy of Modern Wolf and Afterschool Studio. That title is Cantata.

In Early Access for the past year, this mind-bending psychedelic strategy sees you pick one of three classes, Humans, Aliens or Machines, then ‘fight to expand’ your hold on the mysterious planet of Shoal.

Cantata is the first ever Grand Tactics title, combining the large-scale strategic planning of Grand Strategy titles with the turn-based skirmishes of the Tactics genre. With over 27 hours of story content, unique artwork, online and local multiplayer – even a map editor(!), this is a feature-rich experience.
