A pleasant blend of being busy and having a decent pile of games to review again; I’ve not been posting so much this week so let’s change that with Chernobylite news.

No doubt you’ve read my GOTY 2021 and seen that the game is featured in my top tier, but what if you ain’t got a PC?All in! Games and the developers The Farm 51 have announced a next-gen version.

In addition, there will be a PC Enhanced Edition, PS5 retail version by Perp Games, and new content: Blue Flames DLC. Chernobylite shows no signs of slowing down in 2022. Check out the roadmap image below.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this game if you’re a fan of first-person survival horrors. There are FPS elements, but it’s not Doom or CoD per se. Overall, it has a decent balance of action, resource management, storytelling and presentation – both visuals and audio, notably the voice acting.

Chernobylite PC Enhanced Edition (available as a free update for those who already own it) and the next-gen edition with 4k options will be released on the 21st of April.
