The fireworks are due next month as Chicken Police gets a launch date on the 5th of November for Steam, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch, and kick off with a poultry bang. That’s not a euphemism.

When you think of famous detectives, predictable people will go for Sherlock Holmes, Columbo or perhaps Jenny LeClue. However, those in the know will immediately list Sonny Featherland and Marty MacChicken as the greatest detective duo.

The two are notoriously known as the Chicken Police, but as we join them in this dialogue-heavy visual novel with adventure elements, they are no longer the chicken supremes but washed and on par with a chicken nugget.

From The Wild Gentlemen and HandyGames, this is a noir that features a character-driven plot and some pretty absurd visuals that make this a standout title.

In creating narrative games, you must pay attention to a lot of things that the player maybe won’t even notice (or will be affected only subconsciously), but all in all, I believe everything stands on the characters, whom we’ll learn to love or hate to be breathing with them within the world they live in. Bánk, Director of Chicken Police

With over 30 characters to speak with, you’ll need to take out your notepad to start making notes if you’re going to crack the case in the murky depths of Clawville.

Chicken Police is out on the 5th of November for all the major platforms. Wishlist it on Steam now.
