After being lost for 27 years, Clockwork Aquario gets a 2021 release from Strictly Limited Games and ININ Games.

The limited physical editions will be released on the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4, plus available on the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store respectively.

Developed by Westone in 1992, Clockwork Aquario is the swan song of the company behind Wonder Boy and Monster World series. With an obvious 90s aesthetic, this isn’t a retro-inspired game, but an authentic one from the era.

Due to the 3D boom of fighting games in arcades, this 2D side-scrolling adventure got shelved, and it’s only now that it’s been picked up for a home release.

Chose from three different characters that include ‘Huck Londo, the daring ghost hunter, Elle Moon, the brave adventuress and Gush, the warmhearted giant robot’, it can also be played in co-op.
