A long, long time ago, PC gamers used to measure their pe- computers based on the performance of Crysis. During this time, my computer was naff, so it wasn’t until Crysis 3 on the PS3 that I had my first taste of the series.
Well, now that can be boosted with the PS5 release (and others, of course).
Previous iterations ran at an average of 30fps at 720p, but now the Series X and PS5 run at 1080p and 4K at 60fps. Faster than a cheetah on heat. There’s also improved lighting, visually enhanced characters, weapons, environments and HD textures for ‘crystal clear images’.
The Crysis games were, and still are, powerhouses, but now there’s the all-in-one remastered trilogy for PC and consoles, featuring all the iconic single-player campaigns.
Here’s a Crysis Remastered Trilogy PS3 to PS5 comparison (is that fair?):
Crysis Remastered Trilogy will be available from the 15th of October for PC, PS4, PS5, Xboxeseses and even a Nintendo Switch version. Keep an eye out. Not literally.
