Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Until September, Requires Some Polish
Focus on the gun, people

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed from the initial 16th April 2020 to September 2020. The reason? There are some finishing touches to add.

Quite possibly one of the most anticipated titles for 2020, there will be a fair amount disappointed – myself included, but it is what it is.

Earlier today, a tweet went out from CD Projekt Red stating the following:

We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done. Night City is massive – full of stories, content and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale of complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing.

They then went on to say that updates will be released closer to the date.

Cyberpunk 2077 delayed
Back to work. The deadline’s been extended

It’s a bummer, sure, but the internet has handled it well and the consensus is that they need the time to get it right, otherwise they’ll be floods of toxicity on social media how the game is unfinished and how the experience has ruined their lives.

There’s a lot going into Cyberpunk 2077 and while it would be grand to see it in three months to this date, it’s probably best that we return to our backlogs in preparation. It’s not like Final Fantasy VII remake has been delayed or anything…

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently touted for a September 2020 release.
