Breaking the stereotype of helpless females, Damsel is an arcade platform game that features a comic book approach to its frenetic storytelling.

From Screwtape Studios, the game was initially available on the PC via Steam, then the Nintendo Switch, and now it’s coming to the PlayStation 4 in time for Halloween.

What’s the significance for Halloween? Well, it’s a vampire game as you sink your teeth into the enemies, courtesy of a shotgun. Not that you’re the vampire Or are you?

Aside from killing off vampires, players can expect to rescue hostages, disarm bombs and learn how to drag out a sentence rather than add ‘and much more’. There are three episodes in the game that complete the 75 mission package.

Features in Damsel include:

  • Classic Arcade Vibe – Bite sized gameplay that’ll make you say “Just one more go” (although you said that a few tries ago…)
  • Comic Book Campaign – Learn the secrets of Red Mist and put a stop to their evil plans.
  • Competitive Arcade Leaderboards – Master your abilities by perfecting your runs and become the top agent.Chill Out Time – Chillout mode lets you take the edge off and enjoy the game without worrying about pesky things like dying.
  • Extra Challenge Modes – For the discerning slayer, take the difficulty up a notch!

Damsel is already available on the PC and Nintendo Switch, and will be coming to the PS4 this month.
