Dark Nights With Poe And Munro This May On Consoles

Dark Nights With Poe And Munro hit my radar last year, and it was added to the watchlist to give a go when time has its way with me. But here’s a newsflash: it will be releasing on PS4 and Xbox One with backwards compatibility for the next-gen machines.

From indie developer D’Avekki Studios, the story is about two small-town radio hosts named, guess, John ‘Poe’ Pope and Ellis Munro. You must keep them alive over six tv-like supernatural episodes, but there’s a twist. Kinda. It’s an FMV title!

Considering many of us still watch films and binge-watch shows, it’s surprising why we don’t see more FMV. As Not For Broadcast expertly displayed, get a decent idea and a cast to match it, and you’re onto a winner. They don’t all have to be like Night Trap

Anyway, released on Steam last year, Dark Nights With Poe And Munro is the first title by the team to be ported in-house onto console. With over five hours of full-screen HD, there will be multiple endings per episode with unlimited time for making decisions.

Unlike an interactive movie, which delivers a single story over a long time, we’ve created six different stories to give players more fun, encounter more mysteries, and discover more about Poe and Munro and the town of August. It’s a box of chocolates in FMV form.
