From White Rabbit and Serenity Forge, Death’s Gambit: Afterlife has so much exclusive content that it doubles the size of the game. An action platformer in the guise of a Dark Souls type, you’ll set out to defeat the immortals by destroying their source of immortality.
A side-scrolling 2D Metroidvania, you’ll acquire numerous talents, unlock a heap of weapons and upgrades to compliment your play style and eye colour, and experience more than enough deaths. In the original Death’s Gambit (good game), there was one ‘platforming’ section where you had to climb a mountain of corpses – yours.
In the latest instalment, there are 10 additional levels, 22 new weapons, 100 talents, skills, storylines, cinematics, gameplay enhancements and much more. As the press material states: it’s the definitive edition and exclusive to the Switch.
Would you like to see it in action? Of course, you do:
Pick up your copy of Death’s Gambit: Afterlife later in the year. The release date will follow, but follow the official Twitter account for updates.
