Desolatium Prologue – a Lovecraft-inspired adventure will be available to play on Steam from tomorrow, courtesy of Superlumen.
Lovecraft is no stranger to these parts, so this first-person point and click adventure is more than welcome to further corrupt the minds of us land dwellers.
As can be expected from a game inspired by the notorious writer, this story is a ‘what if’ the world cannot be saved, and that the tales of old got it wrong. You play Samara. She’s just lost her first child and prays to her god for help, but a primal being answers her call instead.
She will play a pivotal return for this ‘true god’ in the Desolatium Prologue, and her fate will be determined by this mysterious creator – The Great Dreamer, and hints of Cthulhu.
Key features in Desolatium Prologue include:
- Hyper-realistic graphics: All levels have been generated by shooting real locations in 360º and the integration of 3D elements in post-production.
- Graphic point & click adventure full of mystery.
- Ambisonic Audio (8D): It generates an immersive sound effect that seems to come from all around the player. You will only need your headphones to live this experience.
- Full immersion: Desolatium will be available for PC and, if you want to achieve total immersion, you will be able to use a Virtual Reality device (Steam and Oculus).
Here’s what’s in store:
Desolatium Prologue is free to play from the 4th of June on Steam. Details can be found on the Steam page below.
