With just three minutes to make an impact, Firegirl is an action rescue platformer coming to PC and consoles this Autumn.

Ever want to experience the intensity of a blazing fire and rescuing civilians without having to get off your arse? Yeah, me too. It’s a nice sentiment to say you’re a firefighter, but who wants to do all the physical training and life-threatening duties?

Experiment with the life you’ll never have (because you’re too lazy) and become a firefighter – the latest title from Thunderful Publishing and developed by Dejima Games.

A rogue-lite action-platformer, your job is to douse the flames with your courage and water, then rescue those unfortunate enough to be caught in these infernos. Time is of the essence, but in those decisive minutes, you’ll be able to get extensions by completing additional objectives.

Firegirl mixes 2D and 3D in the same way Octopath Traveler did, only the visuals here are… well, gorgeous. Who’s got the fire? She got the fire. That backfired.

We wanted to capture the sense of imminent danger that comes facing this natural disaster and translate it into a whimsical arcade adventure. Although the players will come face to face roaring blazes and fire-monsters, the goal is rescuing and helping survivors.
