Fort Triumph Marches Onto Consoles Today
Out today on consoles is CookieByte Entertainment’s fantasy RPG Fort Triumph. I’m currently playing this one, so I need a bit more time before posting a review.
- A Q&A With imaginarylab, Creators Of Whirlight – No Time To Trip
- The Best Of Two Worlds In Shin Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town
- Blood Hunting Is Dark And Dangerous, This Summer On PS5
- Age of Defense Review: This Takes Ages
Originally launched on PC, console owners can now jump in on the mayhem, which surprisingly translates well. Fusing a bit of XCOM with Might and Magic (no idea on the latter), you lead a group of heroes out into the wilderness, battling other heroes in the campaign mode, skirmishes and more.
There’s a hefty amount on offer in Fort Triumph. The core part of the game is a turn-based grid/tile system where you need to use the environment to your advantage – both offensively and defensively as you can blast down rocks and trees to daze the enemy. But aside from that, there’s a world map to explore, HQ to invest in and lots of skill trees to tune your heroes the way you want them.
Here’s the trailer:
Fort Triumph is out today on PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. PC owners can also benefit from a price drop on Steam, and also GOG.
Review to follow next week!
