I’m not sure what to make of Fractals of Destiny. Trailers often spoil movies, but what about games? If it weren’t for actual gameplay footage, this may have gone under the radar as the cinematics play out like a Saturday morning anime dub – a.k.a. nope.
Butt… as for actual gameplay, I’m picking up a fusion of Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, and maybe a little Dark Souls. That might be a poor assessment, but Krakatoa Studio and Soft Source’s game is worth a look. It’s currently in Early Access but will launch in full very soon.
In Fractals of Destiny, you play as Zerva – a woman ‘born in the midst of a cataclysmic war between the Velixar Azartus of the west, and the light empire of the east’. She’s been called upon to end the fighting and restore peace to the universe based on her extraordinary fighting abilities.
