So, the PlayStation Showcase is over and done. What do we have to look forward to after the announcements? The PlayStation 2. Well, that’s what it may as well be, as this news is pretty late as I’ve only just watched it after seeing all those Thor images in God of War Ragnarök.

The top news is arguably God of War Ragnarök. A few years after the events of their last outing, father and son return, though with an evident strain on their relationship due to Atreus’ lineage. If you haven’t finished the previous game, I won’t say anymore. Sony spoiled it for your anyway.

With the God of War Ragnarök images in circulation featuring the god of thunder, it’s good to note that Freya also returns and is also a formidable force. With Atreus seeking to reach his full potential and Kratos determined to protect his son from the tribulations he’s encountered in his own bloody lineage on the PlayStation, we’re in for a treat.

From Santa Monica Studio, we’ll be in safe hands, which is probably a stupid statement to make, but you know that they’ll deliver, bringing back the same gameplay and characters (Mirmir is back), as well as a sneaky peek of Mjölnir.
