Keep The Demon King At Bay As Guardians Of Holme Is Out Of Early Access

While some of you were at the beach working on your abs, we sun dodgers were indoors playing Guardians of Holme in Early Access on Steam during the Summer of ’23 – a fusion of tower defence and deck-building. It’s now out of that phase and in release 1.0, with a new and improved recipe.

If you’re out of the loop, or also missed the announcement, as MossTech Studio and Indienova made it mid-December while we were all busy stuffing our faces and spending money we don’t have, the premise is this: protect the city from invaders led by the Demon King using a wealth of traps, totems and turrets.

As one should expect from a deck-build update, Guardians of Holme features new cards, skills, relics, and a new hero – Horus. The usual improvements have also been made with balance adjustments and optimisation of the maps. Here’s the actual list:

  • New character: Horus joins as the third hero, focusing on military units and the power of alchemy!
  • New cards, skills, and relics: Greater variety in battles with cards like Shield Guard’s Mark and Cannon Trap.
  • Balance adjustments: Improvements based on player feedback and optimization of map design.
  • We hope to have your support in making Guardians of Holme an exceptional gaming experience.

It didn’t take long to get addicted to the style of play in Guardians of Holme. As I said in the Early Access write-up, it was initially easy to begin with, but the adjustments have since corrected that. Give it a look-see – especially if you’re up for a mish-mash of tower defence and deck building.
