What The Gubbins Is This Malarky? Make Up Your Own Words Now!

Making up one’s words is folly. Rumtumdibblybob ridipulous. That won’t stop Studio Folly with their Scrabble-like puzzle game for wordsmiths (and those who like to wing it) as their game, Gubbins, comes out next month.

Now, don’t go tellin’ nobody, but I initially saw this in my feed and really really liked it, though saw that it was a mobile game. Pfft! They aren’t for real gamers. That’s what some might say, but I’m not a real gamer, and I also have more time to shout about it now that a release date has been confirmed.

Before that, what’s it all about? Gubbins is a word game where ‘weird little guys’ called Gubbins help you make high-scoring words with the words you want to make. Hence the silly intro. My apologies. Ish.

Key features include:

• Craft impressive (or rude) words from letter tiles!
• Little pals called Gubbins can help (or mess you up)
• Make sweet or saucy postcards for your mates
• Get a high score and unlock achievos
• Statistically improbable for any game to ever be the same – with new daily level, well… daily!

The psychedelic art for this game looks so good, but the concept is where it’s at, and I want in. Check out the Gubbins trailer:
