What the fu…. Harold Halibut is quite possibly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’m an owner of a fair share of mirrors. I’m not just talking about gaming as a medium, but as an art form; this game is insane.

Many games can boast ‘hand-drawn’ or ‘handmade levels’ instead of procedurally generated, but this one is the literal sense as if Aardman had made the transition to the gaming world.

In development for a fair amount of years now, Slow Bros. has just released a story reveal, showing how far the game has come with full voice acting and the ethereal character models and set pieces rendered in real-time using the Unity engine.

We are so excited to finally show you what we’ve been quietly working on these last few years… We’re not far away now, and we’re super thankful to our patient fans who’ve been following this journey.

No release date as yet – it’s evident that the developers have been immensely busy, but based on the appearance alone, it’s bound to be worth that extra wait.

Bookmark the official Harold Halibut website to keep up-to-date with its development, but I’ll be posting info as and when I see it.
