Strategy Mash-up Hexguardian Shows Off Its Sexy (6) Sides On Steam

Maybe Hexguardian doesn’t scream ‘click me’, but rogue-lite tower defence does. Another mash-up of genres, Split Second Games and Yogscast Games, have announced this hex-based strategy for Steam.

The developers’ debut mixes up the city-builder gameplay of Dorfromantik on a hex tile with the strategy of a tower defence title. As a rogue-lite, players will aim to survive for as many days as possible, building their base on land, sea and air!

The whole team fell in love with Hexguardian the moment we saw it.. It effortlessly blends together tower defense with rogelite elements and wraps them into a gorgeous hexagonal landscape, basically ticking all of our boxes. Yichi is a talented solo developer and has already proven to be a joy to work with – we’re thrilled to welcome him to the Yogscast Games family.
