Another rhythm game is coming your way for the Steam Next Fest: Sonokuni – a Japanese hip-hop biopunk action title from Kakehashi Games and Don Yasa Crew.
As Takeru, a lone assassin, you will be raiding ‘a surreal superpower empowered by biotechnology’ to bring balance to her people in a story inspired by real-life Japanese mythology. Real-life mythology…? Anyhoo, it’s got a soundtrack by the aforementioned developer/hip-hop group Don Yasa Crew.
Then what happens? Well, you’ll get up close and personal with generically mutated enemies where you won’t just attack and parry but bend time to your will. Classy! Here’s a Sonokuni trailer:
There’s no release date for Sonokuni yet, but it’ll be out later this year. In the meantime, wishlist it and give it a go during the Steam Next Fest.
