Hopeless Dregs, Buy Mummy's Special Soldiers. Make A Date With Early Access
It’s uncanny that a game has been created based on my first job as a tea boy, but Hopeless Dregs gets a release on Steam which means we can all make weak tea that hasn’t been stirred well.
- A Q&A With imaginarylab, Creators Of Whirlight – No Time To Trip
- The Best Of Two Worlds In Shin Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town
- Blood Hunting Is Dark And Dangerous, This Summer On PS5
Alas, it was wishful thinking and this hasn’t got anything to do with hot beverages; instead, this Hopeless Dregs is a turn-based game that’s been two years in the making through part-time development. Two years part-time? That’s quite a feat!
You lead a team of reprobates, the dregs of the title, into a world of evil. There are no star players on this team, and you have to find what they can and can’t do and use that to your advantage.
Initially an Early Access, there is two hours worth of gameplay, with the full version likely to be five times that when it aims to release in the next four months. It’s all go now, and no doubt Discrete Tense has been slaving over this for our pleasure.
Here’s a trailer:
You can pick up the Early Access version of Hopeless Dregs now on Steam with the full version later in the year.
