Hunting Simulator 2 Out In June 2020

Time to get your hunt on, and this time around, it isn’t a multiplayer deathmatch, but hunting game in Hunting Simulator 2 coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in June 2020.

Since spilling Nazi blood in Wolfenstein 3D and zombies in Isle of the Dead in the early 90s, there hasn’t been that many specific hunting games in the first-person arena, just mostly ‘baddies’. NACON and Neopica have found their niche.

The original Hunting Simulator came out in 2017 to favourable reviews. One of the many features requested for the sequel was the addition of a hunting dog to join on the hunt, well, it’s in there: the dog will assist you, utilising its senses and flushing out your prey.

As it stands, there are around 33 animal species in the game – from small to big, predators and waterfowl, each animal had male, female, juvenile and older variants to ensure it’s as realistic as possible.

Spread out over some very diverse terrains, Hunting Simulator 2 covers six open-world environments from the plains of Colorado, the Texan desert and the forests of Europe. There’s more than enough scope (get it?) to explore these vast territories and the wildlife that inhabits them.

In summary, Hunting Simulator 2 features the following:

  • 6 open-world environments
  • 33 animal species, each with behavioural AI from their real-life counterparts
  • An all-new interface
  • Over 75 weapons and accessories
  • 90 official clothing items such as Browning, Kryptek and Winchester, to name a few

Hunting Simulator 2 comes out on the 25th of June 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Interestingly, there will be a Nintendo Switch version at a later date.
