HyperBrawl Tournament Coming Soon To Consoles And PC

Futuristic sports title HyperBrawl Tournament is a local/online multiplayer coming soon to consoles and PC that is a no holds barred experience with tons of customisation.

Not since Speedball 2 or Brutal Sports Football have we seen a proper sports brawler – if, of course, we ignore all those shoddy players in FIFA or NHL-like titles. With HyperBrawl Tournament, we may be able to dust off those knuckle dusters after all.

Milky Tea Studios (a horrible concept, are they really British!?) are bringing this arcade sports title to all major consoles and the PC this summer, where Apple Arcade got the exclusive. 

HyperBrawl Tournament looks like all the good bits of Speedball 2, Smash TV and the colour palette of something like ARMS or Splatoon – it looks fantastic, and the colours really pop. But you don’t play colours in the game – what’s it all about?

Well, it’s a PvP title that is suited for local play or online multiplay, using the skill-based optimisation, so you aren’t pitted against pros, and equally, you’re not playing someone’s nan with cataracts though you could be if they’re good.

HyperBrawl Tournament is quite hyper as you have to master the HyperCurve while channelling the HyperForce to steal and score legendary goals. If that sounds too complicated, you can just use brute force and beat your opponents up.

Featuring a range of heroes each with their respective abilities and weapons, there are no rules so other than scoring goals, do as you like. 

There’s a choice of three classes too which includes the Swift, Core and Tank. Each has their particular stats unique to them and offer a different experience over the 12 arenas in the game.

Here are just some of the modes included in the game:

• ARCADE – Jump into instant local multiplayer or single-player matches for 1-4 players, earn XP and level up.
• CAMPAIGN – Challenge for glory in the single-player campaign mode. Conquer the Galaxy League and the Cosmic Cup to become the greatest team in the universe.
• BLITZ – Compete online with players across the world for the ultimate accolade – ‘The HyperBrawl Champion!’ The longer the win streak, the greater the rewards from cups to Artifacts.

In these modes, you’re able to use a variety of mythical weapons to dominate – as it says here that you can use a Slam Hammer, Turbo Thruster and even a Grapple Gun. 

Milky Tea even claims that there are over 4,000 different hero and weapon combos to create in HyperBrawl Tournament with a wealth of unlockable weapon skins, goal blasts and ball trails.
