See The Other Side Of The Berlin Wall In Industria

Do you remember 1989’s Berlin? It doesn’t matter as Industria is a reimagining of the time and place in this surreal narrative FPS from Bleakmill and Headup Games.

FPS titles are fun, but a bit two-a-penny, but the story element is very intriguing, with the promo material using a magic keyword that has me sat upright: Lynchian.

If your history isn’t great, Industria is set on the eve of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. I remember watching it on the telly (shouting ‘grandad’ at the screen is pointless – I can’t hear you) as it was a pivotal moment in history. But the devs want to change that up a bit by throwing you into a parallel dimension in the city of Hakavik. A footnote early: it’s swarming with robots.

Industria draws upon the FPS greats of the 00s, with ‘a mind-bending story with satisfying gun combat’. As scientist Nora, you have to survive this new world, gathering intel and firing some big guns.

Industria is launching on the 30th September 2021 on Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG priced at $19.99/€19.99/£16.99. You can only pay one of those prices. Don’t be greedy.
