The Interpoint beta is out now, a three-person team reworking with three chapters, with completion expected at the end of 2021. The opening chapters are available on Steam.

It’s taken the team, Three Dots, 18 months to get there, featuring redesigned levels, gameplay and puzzles, and most of the plot to make the game better and more interesting.

By the time the full game is released, there’ll be a total of six chapters. In the meantime, you play as Harry German, working for Delta Laboratories who study parallel dimensions in the year 2032.

As can be expected, an experiment goes wrong, and Harry finds himself far away from home, travelling through dimensions to understand what went wrong and return home. It’s a bit like Quantum Leap without peripheral protagonists.

What makes Interpoint different is the Proton Gun. Harry can use it to melt objects, a force field to keep enemies at bay, absorb radiation and more. It encourages exploration with secret passages and multiple solutions to a puzzle.

With a host of places to visit, you can expect to see the dark forests of Dimension 51 to ‘landscapes and temples of ancient civilizations on Dark Sun’. No mention of any beaches.

So, you can get the first few chapters now, which is in Early Access, with the remaining chapters getting released towards the end of 2021.
