When Is A Doors Not A Doors? When It's A JARS
This is a joke, right? An upcoming tower defence title with a Tim Burton vibe? If this is remotely accurate, then JARS is a title you want to keep your eye on.

- The Best Of Two Worlds In Shin Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town
- Blood Hunting Is Dark And Dangerous, This Summer On PS5
Playing as Victor (a reference to Burton’s Vincent?), you need to unearth the secrets buried under your home. With pages missing from an ominous book, and Dracula somehow on the cards, Victor may be in a spot of bother.
Essentially a strategy game with tower defence elements, you have to break the jars of title to release… well, you’ll have to find out. The key objective in Mousetrap Games and Daedalic’s new adventure, other than being a meddling kid, is to keep the creatures away from the Sarcophagus.
To do this, you’ll deploy minions and ‘items like mosquitos, acorns and hedgehogs to destroy every jar and defeat the nasties crawling through the cellar’. JARS is a hand-drawn title inspired by Tim Burton and Studio Laika. It would have to be, considering the absurdity of it all!
Here’s the trailer:
You’ll be able to pick up the JARS demo during the Steam Next Fest – the full release is expected for PC and Switch on the 20th of October.
