What are you doing in Spring 2024? Make a note in your diary now for Botany Manor as it’s opening its doors to the public. Thanks to all the folks at Balloon Studios and Whitethorn Games for this exclusive access. Ok, it’s not exclusive, as it’ll be for anyone with a PC, Switch or Xbox.

Home to retired botanist Arabella Greene, Botany Manor houses an array of rare, long-forgotten plants that need care and attention. As Arabella, you sniff out clues to make them flourish, searching through notes, books, posters, and perhaps even in the biscuit tin.

This is the debut title for the developer and gives the impression that it’s a chilled, uplifting experience. I mean, how often do you get to stomp around a historical English homestead and tear shit up? I’m making that last bit up. This sounds frightfully good.

Key features in Botany Manor include:

  • Explore the peaceful grounds and many calming rooms of the beautifully rendered, historically accurate 19th-century manor.
  • Pick up, flip, turn, and rotate the many items found around the estate to piece together the clues to solve each plant-based puzzle.
  • Learn about Arabella’s life, career, and the challenges she faced as a woman scientist during the 19th century as you explore.
  • Fall in love with the calming soundtrack that perfectly compliments the environment and flowers you bring to full bloom.
