Know By Heart Nintendo Switch Release Date

You should know by heart the works of Ice-Pick Lodge as they’re behind titles such as Pathologic 2, Knock-Knock and The Void. Well, they’re back with (wait for it) Know By Heart, which releases on the Nintendo Switch next month.

Already a favourite with crickets – sorry, critics, it follows the story of Misha – a chap stuck in a dead-end job in a provincial Russian town ‘where traces and echoes of the Soviet era can still be seen and heard’.

In Know By Heart, Misha and his friends get together to reminisce on the past and rekindle friendships, but some of their memories and bonds become threatened. Key features in the game include:

• ~5 hours of sentimental adventure
• The atmosphere of a post-Soviet provincial town at the turn of the century
• An emotional plot with non-linear elements and several endings
• Game mechanics representing thoughts and memories of the protagonist
• A collection of evocative mini-games
• Piano soundtrack composed in modern neoclassical style
