Last Days of Lazarus is a first-person horror coming in 2021 for multiple platforms – sadly, not the PS4 though.

I need a few more vibrant screenshots on the homepage as there are more and more horrors coming out. Why can’t there be rainbow horrors? Well, if a game were too light, then it would take off the edge, methinks.

Last Days of Lazarus is an upcoming title from Darkania Works (Twitter) and GrimTalin for Steam, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch which is based on an idea from George Remus, writer and artist behind Gray Dawn.

Following his mother’s death, the protagonist returns to spend time with his sister in post-soviet Eastern Europe. He begins to experience his world falling apart, and there are links to his family’s disturbing past.

With a gothic ambience, Last Days of Lazarus is an adventure fate with supernatural elements, encountering characters with a corrupted version of the truth.

Expect to experience the following:

  • Relive the post-soviet Eastern European era in a bone-chilling setup
  • Experience an enthralling story about death, suffering, spirituality, and politics, where a disturbing plot merges with unexpected twists
  • Follow two additional narrative paths, each with different characters, story and places to explore
  • Visit diverse and stunning environments inspired by the Eastern Mysticism and the idyllic Romanian scenery, with dread and gore playing the counterbalancing role

Here’s a teaser trailer:

The game won’t be out until 2021, but that’s less than 6 months away. In the meantime, wishlist the title from its Steam page now. Ahem, please. That wasn’t an order.
