Lust From Beyond: M Edition appeared in my feed a while ago, but I didn’t think much of it at the time as there didn’t seem that much change from the base game, which I hasten to add, I enjoyed.
Perhaps this planted the seed as I subsequently played through again a couple of weeks back, and while I firmly reiterate that the visuals in this game are fantastic, as per the atmosphere, some of the scenes were a little – how shall we say? Saucy.
It’s a mature game regardless, but it’s no surprise that the game didn’t appear in some regions, and there’s a fair amount of folk who were put off by some of the imagery. Well, now we have Lust From Beyond: M Edition – a mature version, mystery iteration, or perhaps masked release.
In summary, the wobbly bits have been covered up, and some of the communal nakedness has been replaced. Does this mean that Lust From Beyond loses its edge and becomes a dull, sacrificial blade? That’s not what Movie Games want you to think, and to be fair, everything I liked about the game had nothing to do with the rudies.
Anyway, before I exhaust the things I’m going to say in my future review, Lust From Beyond: M Edition is out on the 10th of February via Steam, GOG and GeForce Now with a 10% launch discount.
