MARS 2120 is the only news article from the 1st of April that was… credible. Even so, does this game exist? Who are QUByte Interactive? Why is it a Tuesday? Where is my mind? No, this isn’t a prank, the game has been delayed until the second half of 2024.
In the meantime, the developers have unveiled a documentary consisting of four episodes that delve into an independent game’s creative and developmental process.
MARS 2120 follows a team of elite marines as they answer a distress call from Mars (we know where that leads us…). A non-linear experience follows, with elements inspired by Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Read a teeny bit more about it here.
