It’s been a while since I last played Medieval Dynasty, but methinks ’tis time to revisit mine establishment as there’s a new update bring bees, trees and booze. That’s a selling point, if any.

From Toplitz Productions, Medieval Dynasty is a first-person simulator already had tons of features for an Early Access, but the new roadmap has revealed new mechanics, updates, fixes and more. Aside from mentioning new buildings, professions and products, here’s the official word:

Alcohol – First up, alcohol. In the middle ages, alcohol was a highly valued commodity. Not only did it provide “entertainment” to the people, but it was also treated as a medicine. And here is our first new feature – the ability to produce alcohol.

Orchards – You now have access to a new type of field, the Orchards, and you can plant new trees and plants, such as apple trees, cherries, plums, hops, and more. And once the plants come bearing fruit, you will be able to pick them, and with the newly added Brewing Station and Wine Barrels, turn them into beer, wine, ciders and even juices (variety is the spice of life as they say). You can of course keep the alcohol for yourself and your people or turn it into profit. That decision is all up to you – just do not drink it all yourself as the consequences will be a bit hazy and painful.

Beekeeping – Next up, we have beekeeping. This is a feature that a few of us in the office have been excited the most about simply because we adore those little buzzing creatures. You will now be able to build Apiaries in your village, a dedicated place for your beehives and your honeybees. You will be able to produce honey, which can be collected by your beekeepers, a highly valuable commodity which will help you create honeycomb and mead – the nectar of gods. This building will certainly get you buzzing.

Pottery – Another new building that we have added is the Workshop. Inside this building, you’ll be able to place workbenches where you or other skilled craftsmen can make, create, and operate the above-mentioned Brewing Stations, Wine Barrels, as well as manufacture clay pots and bottles using the Pottery Wheel, and make non-alcoholic juice using the Juice Press. This building is your non-stop shop for all those essential needs to make your medieval community thrive.

Food – Another noticeable addition is new food that is available to you and your people, such as different types of porridges, tarts, rolls, eggs, and soups.

…and more – we have also added eight new talents (for Farming, Extraction, Survival, Hunting, and Diplomacy), new animations, and we’ve increased the building limit too. Plus, lots and lots more.
