Cheesy Plots And Choppers In Megacopter: Blades Of The Goddess

When Reptoid Jeff covers the land in Hot Cheez, it's up to Jack Copter to save the day in Megacopter: Blades of the Goddess.

Cheesy Plots And Choppers In Megacopter: Blades Of The Goddess

Which of the two stands out more: Megacopter: Blades of the Goddess, or the indie developers that are making it – Pizza Bear Games? Both caught my attention and ended up merging into Megacopter Pizza Bear Blades. It deserved a look. Wait… Desert Strike?

Either the devs will be chuffed that their passion project will get the recognition it deserves, or they’ll be frustrated that it’ll be compared to the classic chopper game each time it’s mentioned. From my perspective, it’s a compliment – it was one of the best games of the era.

As for Megacopter: Blades of the Goddess, it was announced at PAX in 2016 and has gone through some… mega… improvements. Currently featuring four biomes, you play as Jack. Armed with the Megacopter, you have to take down the evil Reptoid Jeff, who has forced the homeless to work for him, covering the land in Hot Cheez pizza. Erm…

Key features include:

  • 4 Unique Biomes each with multiple stages, where you will pilot the Megacopter through perilous deserts, small towns and hobo villages.
  • Epic Battles against hordes of Reptoids, each with their own powerful weaponry.
  • Story filled to the brim with character, introducing allies and foes alike, each with their own personality.
  • Fully customizable layout where you can choose which weapons and powers to take to the battlefield. Find the right set up and you’ll be melting Reptoid scum in no time.
  • Music penned by Ogresound brings that 80’s synthwave feel, capturing the feeling of classic TV show Airwolf, and games like Desert Strike, which serve as the inspiration for the game.

Get this: Megacopter: Blades of the Goddess will release the same day as the Elden Ring DLC on the 21st of June 2024. I know what I’ll be getting first. Add it to your Steam wishlist now.
