Before you're replaced with AI, take down your capitalist overlords in the '100% human made' corporate simulation game Ctrl Alt Deal, from Only By Midnight, launching in early 2025.
Revealed in February 2024, the satirical title has since expanded with never-before-seen characters, dialogue, art and sounds via a demo on Steam. In the demo, you play as a sentient AI, SCOUT. Keen to escape the shackles of an evil megacorp, you have to use your AI capabilities to snoop on downtrodden co-workers and find out what makes them tick, evading deletion by the Turing Officer.
At its heart, Ctrl Alt Deal is a game about connections. Paperclip exploits everything - resources, employees, and SCOUT. It's only by working together with the humans that you can escape. Maybe you can even leave the company in better shape when you go! Whether that's by empowering the employees to fight back against management, or by leaving a bunch of homicidal cleaning robots in charge, is up to you.
