Night Book Gets A Release Date, No Need For Translation
A release date has been confirmed for Wales Interactive’s Night Book – a horror-based FMV coming to PC, consoles and mobile.
- The Best Of Two Worlds In Shin Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town
- Blood Hunting Is Dark And Dangerous, This Summer On PS5
- In The Land Of The Rising Sun
- Kill The Shadow, Find Out Who The Mastermind Is In A Divided City
FMV’s are underrepresented, but with the likes of Not For Broadcast and Dark Nights With Poe and Munro, there’s hope for the genre. With Night Book, it follows in the path of an interactive story played by proper actors (like him off The Bill).
A fan of the style? Give Night Trap a go on the Switch.
You play the part of Loralyn, a pregnant translator (not interpreter) who unknowingly unleashes an untold evil. More or less trapped in her home while her husband is away and having to deal with her troubled father, she may have bitten off more than she can chew.
Like Not For Broadcast, it was shot during the lockdown, making it a little more challenging than usual.
Shooting entirely under COVID restrictions meant that every assumption about how to make a movie had to be reconsidered. The project was shot entirely over Zoom with some scenes taking place across three countries simultaneously, with the actors setting up all their own camera kits and props.
