Who updates a prologue?! Gaming Factory, that's who, and they've only gone and given JDM: Rise of the Scorpion a content update that coincides with the announcement that Nissan has signed a licensing agreement.
The latest update introduces the Challenge Mode. It's a single-player option to test out stock models and fine-tuned vehicles on closed tracks, offering Drift and Grip challenges, facing off against AI rivals, and improving one's driving skills without spilling the tofu.
In addition to Nissan, Subaru and Mazda are also on the roster, and in the recent JDM: Rise of the Scorpion update, the following adjustments have been made:
Car Adjustments
- Mazda RX8 - fixed RMP gauges,
- Nissan S13, Nissan S14, Mazda RX8, Mazda MX5, Subaru BRZII - adjusted physics, engine, gearbox, and transmission,
- Subaru- fixed handbrake,
- Nissan, Subaru, and Mazda - gearbox tweaks,
- Nissan, Subaru, and, Mazda - fixed automatic downshift,
- Stock car polishes - Biggest polishes in Mazda RX8 and Subaru BRZ II, small polishes in Miata NA, Miata NB, Nissan S13QS, Subaru Impreza Bugeye.
Wheel presets
- Added T300, T500, T150, G29, G920, Fanatec V2 presets with added and fixed infographics. Added steering wheel navigation support and HUD interactions.
Custom binding
- Added a wide selection of device support. Fixed handbrake binding and improved custom binding of hardware.
SFX
- Fixed interior camera SFX and ambient sounds. Overall optimized SFXs with small tweaks. Transitions in UI sounds volume.
Events fixes
- Fixed disqualification issues. Better drift in tuned versions for events - Nissan S14 in Driftschool, Nissan S13QS in Isamu Event, Nissan Skyline R34 in Ayumi Event, Mazda Miata NB in Daisuke Event, Subaru BRZ in Sota Event.
Adjustments
- Fixed localization, tweaks in SMS textures, adjusted horn range.
