Oddyssey Your Space, Your Way Coming To Early Access

Try before you buy, well, that’s not entirely true, but I do love an Early Access, and today’s announcement is Oddyssey Your Space, Your Way available via Steam.

From 505 Games, this game is a space exploration experience that features ‘deep space cartoon sandboxes laced with absurdly light-hearted humor and a classic animated visual style’.

Developed by Weird Fish – experienced developers who have worked on Dying Light, Dead Island, Painkiller and Call of Juarez, Oddyssey Your Space, Your Way takes a different approach to the first-person shooter. 

Here you navigate the Oddyssey, a small support ship that scouts the galaxy for resources to power the ARK – a mega-mothership that houses the last two million human colonists from Earth as they aim to seek a new home.

Though set in the future, the game has an 80s vibe (yay!), with a very expendable nature. Deaths are commonplace, but you can replace each astronaut with another from the ranks on the ARK. Whether or not you’ll encounter two million deaths remains to be seen.

Oddyssey Your Space, Your Way isn’t the single-player it appears to be. In fact, it boasts up to eight players, with four in local co-op, or the latter online. Players will build new rooms, invent new tech, mine materials and much more, making this an interstellar sandbox.
