Off The Grid For Intruder in Antiquonia
It’s commonplace to have a shoddy WiFi connection when out and about, but what about those scenarios with no internet at all, especially when you find yourself with amnesia in Antiquonia and need to find out who you are? That’s quite specific, but it’s represented by Intruder in Antiquonia.

I’m not entirely sure how to interpret the tone in this point and click adventure. In the teaser, we see the damnation from locals declaring the internet is bad, and even in the promotional material, the inhabitants in the game are ‘internet sceptics’. In this day and age, it’s somewhat absurd not to have the internet, but there’s an appeal about being off the grid. That doesn’t help Sarah, though.
Waking up in the middle of the road to the titular town, Sarah has no idea who she is, as diagnosed with amnesia by the townsfolk. Set in the present day, a quick sniff on the internet might provide some clues to identity (if you can remember how to use it), but in this town, the internet is banned!
Aruma Studios, led by Silvia and Rubén, are adding the finishing touches to their adventure game Intruder in Antiquonia, due in 2022. Heavily inspired by the Galicia region in Spain, they have set out to ‘capture this essence in the game’s art style and music’, using professional illustrators and a beautiful soundtrack written by an experienced composer.

Alas, we still have a few months until 2022 (Intruder in Antiquonia is set for the early part of the year), but it’s currently playable, so all about those finishing touches mentioned earlier. Interested? You should be. Here’s a link to the Steam page so you can add it to your wishlist:
