Omno: The Journey Starts For PC and Consoles Later This Month
You may have seen that Omno featured on my Steam Next Fest coverage. It wasn’t a title I was familiar with, but the playable demo instantly wooed me as if I were a character from a Jane Austen novel. Well, it’s got a release date…
- A Q&A With imaginarylab, Creators Of Whirlight – No Time To Trip
- The Best Of Two Worlds In Shin Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town
- Blood Hunting Is Dark And Dangerous, This Summer On PS5
- Age of Defense Review: This Takes Ages
Developed by Jonas Manke (a.k.a. Studio Inkyfox) and published by Future Friends, this fantastic journey will be heading to PC and consoles at the end of the month, and I encourage you to check this out – it’s amazing.
Anyways, you have to explore the ancient wonders of an alien planet, uncovering a lost civilisation, covering a wealth of terrains, all with a gorgeous hue. Yep, Omno is a stunner, that’s for sure.
Key features include:
- A journey to the past – Uncover a timeless story of sacrifice and self-discovery as you piece together the truth behind your pilgrimage.
- An ancient world to explore – Make your way through dense, atmospheric landscapes, from jungles to deserts to islands in the sky.
- A dynamic moveset – A former professional animator, Jonas brings the movement to life, as you fluidly run, glide, dash, surf and teleport through dazzling natural landscapes.
- No combat, just curiosity – Peacefully bewitch and befriend a wide variety of mythical animals, from lively insects to hulking leviathans.
- Perplexing puzzles – Think your way through an array of challenges to unlock a pathway to the light.
I’d showcase the trailer, but how about some gameplay instead (from the demo):
Omno will be available for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Game Pass from the 29th of July.
