Once Human, Forever Survivor? New Teaser For Sandbox Survival Game

With the vast amount of press coming through my doors (hardly a torrent), it’s easy to miss – even skim due to time. Once Human was a chance encounter, but so good I did something I never do and signed up for the closed beta due later this year.

Post-apocalyptical worlds are usually depressing, but here the world has changed. It’s surreal, nightmarish and just so bloody appealing. 

Once Human is an open-world survival game. Unlike most post-apocalypses, the issue isn’t zombies or Mad Max-like punks but aliens. Perhaps similar to Somerville? Nonetheless, the world has been plagued by alien matter called Stardust, and you have to survive in a world ravaged by destruction and something defined as ‘New Weird’.

Once Human isn’t due until Q4 2024, but regardless, it’s looking like it’ll be a corker. Let’s see what the beta brings later this year.
