Oxenfree II Lost Signals is the upcoming sequel to one of my all-time favourite indie game. If you haven’t experienced the first outing, I highly encourage you to do so and also listen to the soundtrack; it’s permanently in my playlist.

From Night School Studio and publisher MWM Interactive (Creature In The Well), the sequel takes place five years after the first events, featuring a new cast that expands on this supernatural The Outer Limits type narrative. To be honest, I didn’t see a sequel in the pipeline, so this is fantastic news.

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals Review - Manage Your Expectations
Keep listening to the airwaves in long-awaited sequel, OXENFREE II: Lost Signals - on PC and consoles now.

In Oxenfree II Lost Signals, you play Riley, ‘an environmental researcher who returns to her hometown Camena to investigate mysterious radio frequency signals causing disturbances in electronic equipment throughout the town and stumbles upon ghostly happenings.’

Using the same dialogue system, the conversation flows in a natural way as you piece together set in the same universe, but Oxenfree II Lost Signals is an entirely original story.

OXENFREE is such a special game to us, and it has been an incredible experience to revisit this world. We’re eager to welcome our players back while inviting newcomers to embark on an adventure with an entirely new cast of characters that retains the weird, heartfelt, and personalized experience of the original.  Sean Krankel, co-founder and studio director at Night School Studio

Apparently, was showcased in a Nindie Direct. Finger on the pulse and all, I hadn’t seen it other than my inbox late at night with an email entirely welcome.

Oxenfree II Lost Signals is set for a release in the autumn on the Nintendo Switch, and I’ll 100% be updating any news accordingly.
